Terms of use

Updated 1 August 2026

What Eviora is, what it does not do, and what we agree on while you use it.

This is not medical or psychological care

Eviora helps you name what is happening to you. Naming is not diagnosing. The compass does not diagnose, does not treat, and does not replace a therapist, a psychiatrist or a doctor.

If a state persists, gets heavier, or gets in the way of living — that is a reason to see a professional, not to take the compass again.

If you are in danger right now, or thoughts of harming yourself appear — do not stay alone with it and do not wait. The single emergency number across the EU and in Ukraine is 112.

What you get

A compass that, from your answers, picks the name of an emotion out of 92 states, and a diary where those states add up to a picture.

The compass runs on a model of emotions, and like any model it gets things wrong. The last word is always yours: if the name does not match what you feel, you are right and the compass is not.

Your account

You sign in through a link in an email, with no password. Whoever can read your email can reach your diary: the link is the key. So keep your mailbox protected and do not forward the link to anyone.

One account, one person. Sharing a diary is a bad idea, and not only under these terms: this is a history of states, and it is not made for shared use.

Free and paid

Recording states is free, always. That is a principle, not a promotion: a person in a bad state should not hit a paywall exactly when they need to name what is happening to them.

What will be paid for is the depth of looking back — the full history and its patterns. Data never disappears: entries you cannot see yet are still there, waiting.

There is no payment yet. When there is, prices and refund terms will be here, and you will be told in advance.

Your entries are yours

Everything you write in the diary belongs to you. I make no claim to that text, do not publish it and do not use it for advertising.

Anonymised accuracy data is a different matter: it is not linked to you and it is what makes the compass better. Details are on the Privacy page.

What not to do

There are not many rules here, and all of them are obvious:

  • do not try to reach anyone else's entries;
  • do not break the site or flood it with automated requests;
  • do not copy the emotion descriptions and compass texts into your own product — this is authored work;
  • do not present compass results as a medical opinion.

If an account is used this way, I may close it.

What I do not promise

The service is young and works "as is". I do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, absence of bugs, or that the name of an emotion will always be the right one.

I keep backups, but I cannot promise data will never be lost. If some entry truly matters to you — keep your own copy of it.

Liability is limited to what the law allows. You are responsible for the decisions you make after using the compass.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Romania, where I live. If you are in the EU, this does not deprive you of the consumer protection of your own country.

If something went wrong — write to me first. Most things are settled by email.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The update date is at the top of the page; anything material will be announced visibly, not slipped in quietly.
